Royal Parks Half Marathon
Jo ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 11th October. Running with a friend for British Heart Foundation this is the second Half Marathon Jo has entered. The British Heart Foundation was their nominated charity as Jo’s co-runner’s father had a heart attack a few years previously. The positive spin is that in the process of training Jo’s friend lost 3 stone.
Jo trained hard in the run up to the event, running at least 6 miles three times a week and a couple of times around the perimeter of Richmond Park with Anita from the office.
A fantastic effort saw Jo complete the course in a very respectable 2 hours 2 minutes. She is adamant that had it not been for the two toilet stops required on route (!) she would have managed an under 2 hours.
